My printer stopped printing and I get this spoolsv.exe error popping up all the time. What could cause it? The printer is new from the box but doesn't work.

My printer worked just fine until yesterday, now every time I want to print something, I get the spoolsv.exe error, I tried windows update but it didn't work, I downloaded a registry scanner and it found lots of problems, but I don't know if I should buy it, if it will solve this problem.
