Whenever I tried to open Registry Editor (regedit.exe) It always says:

"Regedit.exe-Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the
application."

Anyone can help me to fix this problem.

Thanks in advance.<!--Ratings#{"rating_overall":,"rating_ease_of_use":,"rating_quality":,"rating_technical_support":,"rating_users":}#Ratings-->

“STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The windows Logon Process System process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0×00000000 0×00000000)

it will not boot to safe mode,it will not boot from a win CD,in fact it tells me that a floppy is not seen,of course machine doesnt even have a port for one,i set bios to only boot from cd rom and it tells me one is not seen,the disk is good i checked with my laptop.i replaced battery on board,i reset the ram i even put them in the other slots,i even put in my old ram.

In my case the situation is as follow:
When Windows XP is starting produce a blue screen with the following error:
"STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The windows Logon Process System process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The System has been shutdown"

There is no way to take the computer out of this cycle.
I have tried starting Windows in Safe mode but when the safe process begins the message is generated; I did try starting from my windows restarting CD, using Recovery Windows option and running from the console fixmbr, fixboot, bootcfg and chkdsk. Nothing happened. When I tried to start Windows, stop message came up again.
I do not know what more to do... could you please give me a hand..??

In advance thank you

Hi all,

I have the 0xc0000005 error when I try to play games on my laptop. Other apps like Word and windows pic viewer are ok. I think it maybe memory error from using a external storage device. Also when I try to play games using .exe file it says there is a critical shortage of memory-I have 17GB left!

I used Registry Easy and it's junk file and duplicate cleaner function and deleted lots of tmp and other files. Still get this error message......any suggestions welcome.....
