Fixing the wkufind.exe Error

  • Open the Microsoft PictureIt! Application
  • Load an image
  • Click “Tools” then select “Options”
  • In the options dialog box you should un-tick the “Check for updates online” box
  • Quit the application
  • Reboot your computer

If you do decide to disable the automatic update process of PictureIt! Then you will still need to keep the program updated on a regular basis if you plan on using it in the future. PictureIt! Updates can be downloaded from the internet very easily and will help to protect against the wkufind.exe error.

There are also various other problems which can create the wkufind.exe error if there is a problem with the windows registry. If registry entries become corrupted, fragmented or damaged then this will result in similar errors. You should get rid of these errors by running a registry scan.     Thanks, it worked, I did as you said, I unticked the “Check for updates online” box, rebooted, and that’s it.

    Didn’t know it was a PictureIt! problem. Uninstalled and installed PictureIt! and I am not getting the wkufind.exe error anymore.
